Horapollo (c.390-490 AD?)

Horapollo was an Egyptian scholar and author who wrote a book on hieroglyphics, known as Hieroglyphica. He was born in the city of Oxyrhynchus in the Nile Delta region of Egypt, and is thought to have lived in the 5th century AD.
